On the cactus Thompson group (JAPANESE)
[ Abstract ]
Inspired by Brin's construction of the braided Thompson group, Witzel and Zaremsky introduced cloning systems as a framework for constructing generalized Thompson groups. In particular, the cloning system on cactus groups gives rise to the cactus Thompson group. In this talk, I will introduce this group and discuss our results on its presentations, abelianization, and word length. This is joint work with Yuya Kodama (Kagoshima University).
