Real, Complex and Salem multiplication for K3 surfaces
Matthias Schütt (Leibniz Univ. Hannover)
Real, Complex and Salem multiplication for K3 surfaces
[ Abstract ]
In this talk, I will discuss joint work with Eva Bayer and Bert van Geemen
on Hodge endomorphism algebras of K3 surfaces, both projective and non-projective,
following classical work of Zarhin.
In the projective case, I will focus on real multiplication,
giving abstract lattice theoretic existence results and concrete geometric realizations;
both approaches also apply to complex multiplication.
In the non-projective case, I will highlight the occurrence of Salem multiplication,
a notion informed by dynamics. Time permitting,
I will draw some new conclusion on bimeromorphisms on non-projective hyperkähler manifolds,
based on recent results with Eva Bayer and Stevell Muller.
