Pagoda in Beijing I heard some people including a professor for my freshmen seminar class say, "Studying mathematics is like climbing a steep, snowy mountain. There is no royal road to learning, but there is only one right road to mathematics.'' Am I on that road? (Jan, 2004)

In the left photo, I'm standing in front of Boya Pagoda at Peking University. It has more than 10 stories and I've never seen such a tall Pagoda before. Another photo of this pagoda is available here (April, 2016).
