Abstract: In this talk, we will study automorphisms of Compact Quantum Groups (CQGs). We will define a notion of "inner" automorphisms of CQGs and study the behaviour of normal subgroups under these automorphisms. We also study ergodic properties of discrete group actions on CQGs and show how ergodicity of the action can imply stronger notions like topological transitivity in this case. We will end with an open question on constructing appropriate automorphisms of Tarski Monster Groups to illustrate how the quantum case is very different from the classical one.
