Title: Extended Rotation Algebras

Abstract: For each irrational rotation $2\pi\theta$, the C^*-algebra generated by the rotation algebra together with the spectral projections (one for each canonical unitary) corresponding to $[0, \theta)$ is studied. It is shown that this C^*-algebra is the AF-algebra with ordered K₀-group $Z+Z\theta$ for generic $\theta$ (in the sense of Baire Category). This is a joint work with G. A. Elliott.
