Title: Non-commutative geometry of solenoidal manifolds

Abstract: A solenoidal manifold S is the inverse limit of a tower of proper coverings of a compact manifold M. This is a foliated space with smooth structure on the leaves of F. We discuss in this talk how the non-commutative geometry of solenoidal manifolds is related to the dynamical properties of the monodromy group action associated to the tower of coverings. This is joint work with Olga Lukina of the Mathematical Institute, Leiden University.
