Title: Model theory and Connes' bicentralizer problem

Abstract: We use the model theory of W*-probability spaces with totally bounded elements S_K as primitive sorts to study the bicentralizer algebras. By extending the work of Houdayer and Marrakchi on diffuse selfless W*-probability spaces, we show in particular that the class of III_1 factors with trivial bicentralizers is axiomatizable. This is a joint work with Isaac Goldbring (UC Irvine).
