Workshop program (preliminary)
The workshop 'Harmonic Analysis and Homogeneous Spaces' is a four-day event that takes place at the Lorentz Center from Monday 23 August till Thursday 26 August 2004. Each day has a  theme in order to highlight a particular aspect of the broad topic of harmonic analysis and homogeneous spaces. The following themes have been defined (click to get further details):

Day 1: Analysis on symmetric spaces
(Monday, 23 August 2004)
Day 2: Causal structures, conformal geometry, and harmonic analysis
(Tuesday, 24 August 2004)
Day 3: Integrable systems, quantization, and special functions
(Wednesday, 25 August 2004)
Day 4: Geometry and representation theory
(Thursday, 26 August 2004)

On Friday, 27 August 2004, there will be a special day, organised by the Mathematical Institute of the University Leiden, in honour of the 65th birthday of prof.dr. G. van Dijk and his subsequent speach in academia on the occasion of his retirement.
