I am an associate professor at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, The University of Tokyo, Japan. My research is in number theory, with particular interests in elliptic curves, Iwasawa theory, special values of L-functions, and the Birch–Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture.
Previously, I was an associate professor at Kanazawa University. Before that, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu–Paris Rive Gauche in Paris, a visiting research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, and a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Regensburg, supported by the SFB 1085 “Higher Invariants.” I received my PhD from the University of Cambridge in October 2017 under the supervision of John Coates.
I am co-organising the FJ-LMI Workshop on Polylogarithms with Hidekazu Furusho, Herbert Gangl and Luc Pirio. The workshop will be held 10–12 September 2026 in the NISSAY Lecture Hall at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, Komaba Campus, The University of Tokyo.
