Abstract: Recently, Corey Jones initiated the study of lattice quantum field theory modeled by certain bimodules on nets of finite-dimensional C*-algebras. Under mild assumptions these bimodules form a braided tensor category, which are symmetric for dimension greater than 1. In this ongoing joint work with Lucas Hataishi, David Jaklitsch, and Corey Jones, we investigate further structural properties for the 1-dimensional models. Using techniques motivated by the subfactor theory, we show that these braided tensor categories are in fact the Drinfeld centers of fusion categories.
