This includes a new proof of the Steiness of open Riemann surfaces
(Behnke-Stein's Theorem) by the Oka theory, and then an application
of the same idea for some ramified Riemann domains.

This gives a first direct connection at the proof level
between the value distribution theory
and Arithmetic theory (an application of a Big Picard Theorem by the
author '81), while there are many analogies between them:
This kind of a connection at the proof-level has been a ``missing-link''
at least personally for the author.

Here we briefly discuss the development of the titled problem,
which has been discussed in many places.
A new ingredient is a comment on Oka's unpublished research reports in 1943,
where he solved the problem for unramified Riemann domains over C^n.
We refer to an English translation of one of the reports, and see
the notion of ``Coherence (Id'eal de domaines ind'etermin'es)''
(Oka VII) was invented by K. Oka in order to solve
the problem for Riemann domains with ramification points.

補足II:L. Schwartzの有限次元性定理の簡単別証明を書きました。
Cartan-Serreの有限次元性定理やGrauertによるLevi問題解決法で鍵となる
L. Schwartzの定理のDemaillyのアイデアに基づく短い簡単証明です。
これまでかなり面倒な手続きで証明していたL. Schwartzの定理ですが、
これで学部生へフル証明の講義が可能になりました。
補足III:カルタンの行列分解補題（定理） カルタンの原論文(1940)
の証明以来，明快な証明を求めて、B. Malgrange, L. Bers, Grauert-Rossi
等の難しい証明が与えられてきた。
諸本で煩雑で理解しにくかったこの部分の見通しの良い簡単別証ができました。
これで、この部分の講義も大夫楽にできるようになったと思います。

本書を十数年前から企画し始めて，初版では、これ等三点が著者にとって満足のいかない
部分として残っていたが，今回それ等が全て解消した．特に、(iii)は大幅に簡略化された
(定理本体部分の証明は、17.5頁 => 2.5頁)。
また、(i)は(B3)[5], (B5)(6)-a),b)に繋がる。
その他，代数の初等的な部分や微分形式の導入部分，例・演習問題など
追加・補筆した．加筆分は、40頁。次は，同書英語版。

This book with nine chapters systematically describes Nevanlinna theory
of meromorphic maps between algebraic varieties or complex spaces,
building up from the classical theory of meromorphic functions on
the complex plane with full proofs in Chap. 1 to the current state of research.

The aim of this publication is to provide a comprehensive textbook
of a course lecture on the theory of seveal complex variables
for beginners,
just after set and general topology, basic algebra and
complex function theory of one variable.
The book with nine chapters includes
a complete self-contained treatment of Oka-Cartan theory:
The main topics are
Oka's Three Coherence Theorems, Oka-Cartan Fundamental Theorem,
Theory of analytic sets and complex spaces,
Oka's Theorem on the Levi Problem for Riemann domains,
Cartan-Serre Theorem, and Grauert's Theorem with application
to Kodaira's Embedding Theorem. Necessary items of
sheaf cohomologies are presented in detail in Chapter 3.
The last chapter ``On Coherence'' is devoted to the historical development
of the notion of ``coherence''.
A number of classical proofs are simplified or
improved: e.g., (i) Coherence of O_C^n; (ii) Cartan's Matrix Lemma
(in appendix);
(iii) Finite map theorems; (iv) L. Schwartz Finiteness Theorem;
(v) Oka's Theorem on the Levi Problem for Riemann domains; ......
The book is easy for beginners to read, and easy for professors to lecture.
It is rare to find a book containing the above subjects in one volume
with completely self-contained proofs.

本書の目的は，複素関数論あるいは複素解析学に入る前の
段階までの数(カズ)としての複素数の解説を厳密性を維持しながらできるだけ
平易にすることである。本書のいくらか新しい工夫としては，
通常の教科書ではあまり触れられることのない数の超越性(たとえば，
eやπ)の初等的証明を紹介した点と，複素数と「定規・コンパス」の
組み合わせを強調したことである。最終的には、
非ユークリッド双曲幾何を定規とコンパスで描くことを実行してもらう。

補題2.4.1は、`弱連接定理'では力不足で、証明が未完になっていることが最近
（2022年秋）判明した。
読者にはたいへん申し訳ありません。

本書は，岡潔による3大問題の肯定的解決に特化して，できるだけ
簡易化した自足的証明を与えることを目標にしたものである．
既書にはない特徴として，
・岡の未発表論文(1943)およびOka IX (1953)の主要部に沿って
初等的に平易に展開をした点であろう．
岡理論の展開法として，第1は岡のオリジナルな方法，第2に岡−カルタン理論として
連接層とコホモロジー理論によるもの，第3にヘルマンダーによる
L2-dbar法がある．本書では、難しいといわれた岡のオリジナルな方法が一番
短く、平易に展開されることをみる。
これまで内外を含めてそのような入門書が、不思議なことになかった。
擬凸問題の証明には，岡オリジナルのフレードホルム第2種型の
積分方程式を用いる方法とグラウエルトの別証明法の二つを与え、
比較できるようにした．

本書の特徴を一言でいえば``コーシーから岡潔まで''である．
ピカールの定理に端を発する一般関数論は，
解析性のみを仮定してどれだけの理論展開が
可能かを追求する理論発展の流れとなった．
岡理論も関数の解析性のみに基づくもので，この範疇に入る．
実変数の微積分学で，一変数では定義域の凸性は意識されない．
2変数以上になって初めて凸性が意味をもつ．
複素関数においても一変数では解析性からくる凸性は自明で意識されない．
しかし，2変数以上になるとこれが非自明な大きな問題になる．
この事象の全体像を明らかにしたのが岡理論である．
本書は，実数・ユークリッド空間から始まり，コーシーの積分定理，
留数定理，有理型関数の展開，楕円関数，
リーマンの写像定理，ピカールの定理と進む．
その後，多変数関数論に入り，岡の第1連接定理を証明し、
それにより岡の上空移行の定理を示し，近似，クザン問題，
岡原理，多変数の補間問題あたりまでを扱う．
実関数を扱う微積分学においては，一変数の理論の後に多変数の関数の
偏微分や積分を扱う．同様に，複素解析・複素関数論においても
一変数の理論の後に多変数の理論を展開するのが自然である．

Basic Oka Theory in Several Complex Variables, in preparation
from UTX Series, Springer:
This book provides a new comprehensive self-contained account of Oka theory
as an introduction to function theory of several complex variables,
mainly concerned with the proofs of the Three Big Problems (Approximation, Cousin,
Pseudoconvexity),
which were solved by Kiyoshi Oka and form the basics of the theory.
It is the purpose to serve as a textbook in course lectures right
after complex function theory of one variable.
The nature of the present book should be evinced by our approach
following Oka's unpublished papers written in 1943 with his guiding
methodological principle termed ``Joku-Iko Principle'', where historically in first
the pseudoconvexity problem (Hartogs, Levi) was solved.
Our method is elementary so that we do not use cohomology theory of
coherent analytic sheaves nor L2-∂-bar method.
We employ only elementary techniques, yet reaching the core of the theory.

東大数理月朝 複素解析幾何セミナー。
岡潔博士は、3大問題の内最後の難関であった擬凸問題を1943年に高木貞治教授宛の
研究報告として書いた5編の論文で解決した。この一連の論文自体は未発表に
終わるが、10年後に書かれた第IX論文(1953)でその間に得られた
「不定域イデアル」・「連接層」の理論を用いる形で擬凸問題の解決は発表された。
擬凸問題の証明だけをみれば、未発表論文の方が丁寧であるのは興味深い。
本講演では、1943年当時に不定域イデアル・連接層なしでどのように擬凸問題を
解決したかを第IX論文と比較しつつ紹介する。
In this series of five papers written in 1943 as the research reports
to Prof. Teiji Takagi, Kiyoshi Oka solved affirmatively the
``Psedoconvex Problem'' that was the last
most difficult one of the ``Three Big Problems'', then.
While those papers have been unpublished, the result was published
in his nineth paper [IX](1953) by making use of the theory of
``ideal de domaines indetermines'', ``coherent ideal sheaf''
which had been obtained during that time. As for the proof of
the Psedoconvex Problem, it is interesting to observe that the
descriptions in the unpublished papers (1943) are more detailed than
those published [IX](1953). In this talk I discuss how he solved
the Pseudoconvexity Problem without ``ideal de domaines indetermines''
or ``coherent ideal sheaf'', referring [IX].

抄録: “役に立つ”ことを判断する価値観は、どこから来るのかを言語の進展の観点
から議論する。 言語進展の過程に日本とヨーロッパにおいて類似性があることを見出す。
言語には『日常言語』、『社会言語』、『記述言語』の3 種があり、
これらが一致していることがイノべーションに必要不可欠 であることを
古代の神話の形成、言語の形成、文字の導入にさかのぼり諸文明の情況を
観察し つつ解明する。それらを踏まえ、グローバリゼーションの中で、
日本の数学教育の向かう所に ついて考える。
