GCOE research activity
Seminar weeks on Calabi-Yau manifolds, mirror
symmetry, and derived categories

Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences
University of Tokyo
February 15- 23, 2013 (Room 123)

Focus:

This activity is focused on extensive discussions/interactions between several sesearch
groups working on related subjects.  We plan to organize seminar talks (about two
talks in each day in the afternoon) for local people as well as participants.

The topics we will discuss include
determinantal Calabi-Yau varieties, descriptions of their mirror
symmetry and also their derived categories. We will also focus on
the so-called gauged linear sigma models in physics and the
mathematical pictures coming from them.
